Asia-Pacific Enterovirus Surveillance Network

The Asia-Pacific Enterovirus Surveillance and Research Network (APNET) was formed in 2003 in response to the emergence of enterovirus 71 as a cause of epidemic encephalitis in our region. The primary purpose of APNET is to provide technical training and ongoing support in the establishment of laboratory surveillance for enterovirus 71 in countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
