Trans-Blot Turbo Transfer System

Bio-Rad Trans-Blot Turbo blotting system is a rapid semi-dry blotting system. The system integrates a high amperage power supply that directs current between a built-in platinized titanium anode and stainless steel cathode. This allows highly efficient and rapid transfer in as little as 3 minutes.

The system is compatible with various gel types and percentages. It can transfer 1-4 mini or 1-2 midi gels in a single run. Either polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) or nitrocellulose blotting membranes can be used on the system. Up to 25 protocols can be customized and stored within the instrument.

The Trans-Blot Turbo blotting systems are located in room N232, Anderson Stuart building and room 320, Blackburn building, respectively. Online booking system is available. Bio-Rad Trans-Blot Turbo Transfer packs (mini format, PVDF or Nitrocellulose) are available in the fridges in room N232, Anderson Stuart building or room 320, Blackburn building. Please record your usage on the recording sheets provided on the fridge doors. You need to be trained on how to use the system by the Molecular Biology Officer before you can use it independently. Please clean the system and dry the transfer trays properly after use. Thanks.
