Clinical Skills Laboratory

The Clinical Skills Laboratory (Skills Lab) is housed inside the Elloura Lodge building located on the Broken Hill Health Service grounds, near the BH UDRH building. The Skills Lab comprises three air-conditioned rooms dedicated to teaching, including a lecture room with a capacity for 15 people, and a small kitchen is also available for all participants attending training sessions. The Skills Lab houses training equipment such as anatomical and medical models, allowing students to practice invasive procedures. Students using the Lab have the opportunity to practice a range of skills such as intubation, cannulation, suturing, catheterisation and plastering. A TV, VCR and digital projector are also available for teaching purposes.
