The Far West Health Library
The Far West Health Library provides a wide range of services to BH UDRH staff and students, Far West LHD employees and all health professionals located in the far west of NSW.
The library collection covers medicine, nursing, Aboriginal health, rural and remote health issues and research methodology, as well as providing support and training for the Clinical Information Access Portal (CIAP) of NSW Health.
A full time research librarian is available to assist with information requests, research projects and document provision.

The Far West Health Library offers small group or individually tailored CIAP training sessions.
The Clinical Information Access Portal (CIAP) provides information and resources to support evidence-based practice at the point of care. CIAP is available to all nurses, midwives, doctors, allied health, community health, and ancillary staff working in or for NSW public health system, including students on placement. CIAP can be accessed from work or from home.
The goal of CIAP is to improve access to decision support, support evidence-based health care, reduce adverse events, improve clinical knowledge, and improve communications between clinician groups.
