The Discipline of Emergency Medicine within the Sydney Medical School works closely with our partners in NSW Health in teaching and training emergency doctors of the future. Medical education in emergency medicine continues well into post-graduate years and forms part of life-long learning. The Health Education & Training Institute set up by NSW Health has established a comprehensive training network for emergency medicine.
The Australasian College for Emergency Medicine oversees training of doctors in our specialty. ACEM has included the Sydney Medical School's core curriculum in emergency medicine as a guiding document in the development of medical student teaching in our discipline.
