The Medical Foundation/Meniere's Research Fund Scholarship

Through the support of the Sydney Medical School Foundation and the Meniere’s Research Fund, Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney is offering a scholarship towards a Doctorate of Philosophy for a suitably qualified candidate undertaking research in the area of Meniere’s disease.

The scholarship is available for a candidate who has been accepted for full-time study within Sydney Medical School at the University of Sydney. Please see sydney.edu.au/medicine for further information on Sydney Medical School, its facilities and collaborations.

The scholarship is open to Australian or overseas graduates of outstanding academic merit, for research leading to a research degree. To be eligible candidates must have completed the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor degree with Honours, and be either Australian or New Zealand citizens, or permanent Australian residents. Preference will be given to the applicant who can provide evidence of significant research potential as demonstrated by, for example, research publications.

The scholarship, funded through the Sydney Medical School Foundation, offers a stipend of $33,000 with the possibility of attending an overseas conference. It is awarded for one year with the opportunity to apply for funds for the second and third years. It is expected that applicants will seek funds to complete their research project in subsequent year(s).
