Mr John Conde, AO

John Conde has been president of the Dermatology Research Foundation since 2003. He has several other non-executive positions. He is chairman of Energy Australia, chairman of BUPA Australia (being the combined group of MBF & BUPA’s former Australian interests), president of the Commonwealth Remuneration Tribunal, chairman of Whitehaven Coal Limited, a director of the DEXUS Property Group and chairman of the Sydney Symphony.

He is also chairman of the Homebush Motor Racing Authority Advisory Board, chairman of the Australian Olympic Committee (NSW) Fundraising Committee, a member of the Children’s Hospital Advisory Board (at Westmead) and a member of Bond University’s Board of Trustee Members.

John was also a former Managing Director of the Broadcast Investments group of broadcasting interests (which included Radio 2UE in Sydney, 4BC in Brisbane and NWS:9 in Adelaide) and a Director of BHP Billiton and the Lumley Insurance Group.

His formal qualifications are a Science degree and an Electrical Engineering degree (with the University Medal) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Business Administration degree (with distinction) from Harvard University.
