Associate Professor Alan Cooper
Alan graduated in science (computer science and pure mathematics) and medicine from the University of Sydney. During his undergraduate years, he was honorary secretary, vice president, senior undergraduate vice president and president of the University of Sydney Medical Society. He was also the vice president of the Australasian Medical Students’ Association.
His dermatology training was at Royal North Shore Hospital and the Mayo Clinic, where he obtained board certification in dermatology for the United States.
Alan was clinical superintendent at Royal North Shore Hospital after returning from America, before being appointed as a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO). He is currently Head of Department of Dermatology at the Royal North Shore Hospital and Clinical Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Northern Clinical School of the University of Sydney.
