Associate Professor Diona Damian
Diona Damian is Associate Professor of Dermatology at the University of Sydney and a clinical dermatologist at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Her research interests focus on the role of immunity in the causation, prevention and treatment of skin cancer, and she has published and presented widely on the immune suppressive effects of ultraviolet radiation on the skin.
Professor Damian chairs the University of Sydney’s Dermatology Curriculum Review Committee and provides most of the undergraduate dermatology teaching at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and at the University, including lectures, tutorials and assessment. She also teaches dermatology trainees and general practitioners and has been primary supervisor to 10 postgraduate students.
