Mr Alan Oppenheim

Alan Oppenheim has almost 3 decades experience with the pharmaceutical industry and the dermatology community in Australia, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and the United Kingdom. He is the Managing Director of Ego Pharmaceuticals, an Australian, family-owned company that researches, manufactures and markets products to treat and prevent skin diseases and to maintain healthy skin.

Alan has a science degree with first class honours from Monash University. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, an honorary life member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists and a Fellow of the Royal Australian Chemistry Institute.

Alan has been a member of the committee responsible for the Australian/New Zealand Standard on Sunscreens and the Technical Committee of the Australian Self Medication Industry, and is a past President of the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists, an organisation with 14,000 members in 48 nations.

Alan is a winner of the retail products category of the Entrepreneur-of-the-Year Award, southern region. Jointly with his scientist wife, Alan is a winner of an Excellence Award from the Australian Self Medication Industry for service to the industry.
