Sydney Medical School Foundation has a number of Funds which receive gifts for specific areas of research or education within Sydney Medical School. Such Funds are created in response to various fundraising needs and are administrated by Sydney Medical School Foundation.
The following Funds were once small foundations (known as Divisions) which sat under the umbrella of Sydney Medical School Foundation and have since been absorbed by Sydney Medical School Foundation.
- Ageing & Alzheimer’s Research Fund (AARF)
- Bone & Joint Research Fund (BJRF)
- Dermatolgy Research Fund (DRF)
- Endocrinology & Diabetes Research Fund (EDRF)
The Meniere’s Research Fund was created as the result of an affiliation agreement between the University and an external fundraising entity (Meniere's Research Fund Inc.) to receive gifts for the purpose of supporting research into Meniere's disease at Sydney Medical School, the University of Sydney.
A Fund may also be created to support an area of growth within the School. Such Funds include the Cardiothoracic Surgery Research & Education Fund, and Fundu Isin-Di’ak, the Timor-Leste Health Fund.
