Our Objectives

The objective of the Sydney Burns Foundation is to support:

  • research
  • training
  • education
  • scholarship

in the field of burns medicine and reconstructive surgery at Sydney Medical School, the University of Sydney.

The main research objective is to assist researchers at Concord Hospital’s Burn Unit to develop a fully-functioning replacement skin for burn patients.

A dedicated research laboratory has been created located at the ANZAC Institute on Concord Hospital’s Campus and researcher Ms Yiwei Wang has been appointed partially funded by a fellowship grant from the Day of Difference Foundation.
