Refugee Applicants

Sydney Medical School welcomes applications to Sydney Medical Program from students who have refugee status

A sub-quota of up to four Commonwealth supported places in Sydney Medical Program will be available annually for refugee applicants whose applications will be assessed on a case by case basis.

Eligibility

Applicants must have been granted refugee status and Australian residency by the Australian Government.

Applying

All domestic applications for Sydney Medical Program must be submitted directly to the University of Sydney.

Applicants MUST submit supporting document(s) confirming refugee status at the time of application.
Otherwise applications will be processed as standard applications.

Eligible applicants are considered on a case by case basis.

Refugee applicants who have become Australian citizens are not eligible under this category.
