Course in Emergency Medicine for General Practitioners

The course in Emergency Medicine for General Practitioners is designed to provide a review of practical skills and an update of advances in the management of medical emergencies encountered in general practice. The course is held four times a year and is open to all GPs and other medical staff interested in emergency medicine. A light supper is served.

Each course consists of three 2 hour evening sessions held on the same evening in three consecutive weeks. Places in each course will be strictly limited. Part 2 of the course covers CPR and is recognised by the RACGP as fulfilling the CPR requirements of the FRACGP exam. All three parts of the course attract two CME points per hour as part of the CPD&QA program of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners – a total of 12 points for successful completion of the entire course.

Cost: $100 ($90.91 + $9.09GST) for one lecture only, or $280 ($254.55 + $25.45 GST) for the full course of three lectures.
