About the Discipline
The Discipline of Medical Imaging was evolved under the stewardship and sponsorship of the Dean of the Sydney Medical School, Professor Bruce Robinson, to develop and co-ordinate Imaging education and research across the breadth of the University. The Discipline came into being in December, 2007.
From the outset, a multi-team and multidisciplinary approach was manifest, consisting of:
- radiologists
- nuclear medicine physicians
- vascular surgeons
- anatomists
- physicists
- pathologists
- education specialists.
This provided the greatest breadth of skills to develop a new Discipline.
