The methodology of research conducted within the Discipline of Medicine encompasses laboratory-based techniques, particularly molecular and cell biology, large organ physiology, epidemiological and psychosocial approaches. Clinical research, clinical trials, biomedical engineering towards therapeutic devices and health economics are also part of the research portfolio. A particular strength of the Discipline of Medicine is the bridge between the laboratory and the clinic.
The Discipline welcomes inquiries from prospective honours students, postgraduate candidates, postdoctoral or senior research fellows. Such inquiries are best directed towards those within the Discipline with the appropriate research background or professional expertise.
