Since 13 June 1856, approximately 24,000 students have graduated from Sydney Medical School programs. Some of our alumni, like Graeme Clark and Sir Gustav Nossal, are almost household names. Others have left the practice of medicine and are better known as leaders and politicians; still others are known in their field for their service to medical education. Yet more go unnoticed by all but those in the communities they serve.
With our alumni in over 50 countries, working in every discipline of clinical medicine/research and the various fields of public health within Australia and in international public health in developing countries, the alumni of Sydney Medical School have the potential to be an effective world-wide network of clinicians, researchers, educators, public health practitioners, policy makers and international aid agency consultants.
