Isobel Corin Research Grants

Isobel Corin shared in the great dream of growth and expansion in research and development and during her illness held onto life with great tenacity, always willing to try every new idea that could possibly benefit her, no matter how new. It is fitting that this fund was named after her. Each year, thanks to the ongoing support of donors, several awards are given to young researchers at the Sydney Medical School Nepean for the purpose of their travel to medical and scientific conferences to advance their learning and share their ideas with peers in the medical fraternity.

The fund was officially launched by Mrs Claire Gledhill OAM, a long time resident of Penrith with her late husband pharmacist, Norman. “I remember the old Penrith Hospital, now the Governor Phillip nursing home… It is very different today.”
