Two new combined programs for the Faculty of Medicine

After the successful launch of the Science Medicine program in 2005, the Faculty of Medicine is delighted to announce that two new combined programs have been approved and will be offered in 2007: Arts Medicine (BA (Advanced) (Hons)/Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery, and Music Medicine (Bachelor of Music Studies/Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery). The programs are coordinated by Associate Professor Merrilyn Walton.
These two programs offer high achieving students the opportunity to undertake in-depth studies of music, the humanities and social sciences, combining their demonstrated interests with the University’s prestigious four-year graduate-entry Medical Program.
The programs are unique in that students of this caliber who ultimately want to do Medicine are mentored in their first degree by contacts with the Faculty of Medicine, demonstrating a clear and prestigious path from school through to the USydMP.

Applicants for these programs must be school leavers with no tertiary record, and with a high UAI.
