We congratulate Professor Nicholas Talley on receiving the 2006 Distinguished Research Prize from the Gastroenterological Society of Australia.

"It is a great honour to have one's research recognised by ones peers. I feel particularly fortunate to have learnt how to conduct clinical research in gastroenterology from two very distinguished Australian mentors early on in my career, the late Professor Douglas Piper and Professor Sidney Phillips” said Professor Talley.

Professor Talley who will be awarded the prize on the 12th of October also wished to thank the number of Fellows, colleagues and PhD students he collaborated with over many years.
