BMRI Director on RQF panel

Professor Ian Hickie, Executive Director of the Brain & Mind Research Institute, is to be a member of the Public Health and Health Services panel of the Research Quality Framework (RQF) announced today by the Federal Government.
The Minister for Education, Science and Training, the Hon Julie Bishop MP, announced the 156 members, 11 of whom are University of Sydney academics. The panels are comprised of academics and specialists from the various fields, taken from Australia and abroad.
The panels will assess the Evidence Portfolios of Research Groups submitted by higher education providers as part of the assessment process in 2008, with awards made based upon quality and impact.
