"Club Dub" running for charity

Year three medical students Jacqui Fleetwood, Michael Potter, Jamie Bewes, Patrick Rubie, Alice Coe, Rhett Morton and Tim Jones have been running for fun since they arrived in at the Dubbo School of Rural Health campus. When they saw the SMH Half Marathon advertised they decided to give it a go. The 21km event is being held in Sydney on 16 May, starting at St Mary's Cathedral and ending up in Hyde Park. The official charity partner is the Breast Cancer Network Australia.

"We thought not only could we use this as an opportunity to get fit but also to raise money for the cause AND awareness about Dubbo School of Rural Health," says Jacqui.

Attired in "Club Dub" T shirts, they have stepped up their training regime. So if you see a pack of slightly shabby students (sporting some very snazzy T-shirts!) running around the greater shire of Dubbo do not be alarmed!
