New Director of the Sydney node of the Menzies Centre for Health Policy
Professor Bruce Robinson and Professor Glenn Salkeld are delighted to announce the appointment of Professor Andrew Wilson as the new Director of the Sydney node of the Menzies Centre for Health Policy (MCHP).
"This is an outstanding appointment for the Sydney Medical School. Andrew comes with more experience as a leading public health policy academic, senior bureaucrat and manager. In taking up his post in mid-January 2013, Andrew has a wonderful legacy from our Foundation Director Professor Stephen Leeder (Sydney node), a Centre reputation built in conjunction with colleagues at the ANU node of the Centre upon the conduct of high quality research, analysis, advice and education that influences health policy and practice in Australia and elsewhere.
At a time of major reform to the Australian health care system, Andrew’s appointment ensures that we will continue to be a leading independent voice on health policy in Australia."
