Opening of the Nepean Clinical School Outpatient Clinics
The first outpatient clinical in the Nepean Clinical School building was opened on Wednesday 8 August 2012.
The high risk obstetric clinics will be run by Professor Michael Peek in conjunction with Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellows and registrars. Medical students will attend all sessions with plans for students from allied health and nursing to participate in the future.
Professor Peek said “I am thrilled and privileged to run the first clinics in the building. This is an exciting time for Nepean Clinical School: the clinics opening, funding for two Specialist Training Program positions in Endocrinology and in Obstetrics & Gynaecology plus funding to begin a Telehealth Centre in the clinics are signs of things to come.”
The clinics are opening in a staged process. The next two will be opened by Associate Professor Emily Hibbert and Dr Bernard Champion in Endocrine and Professor Nanan in Paediatrics: “Thank you to Nepean Hospital and my team at Nepean Clinical School for working together to make this a reality."
