I have broad research interests in Sexual Health, including clinical aspects of HIV, the diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections and vulnerable populations. My doctorate was in the molecular epidemiology of Human Papillomaviruses. This remains my principle research focus, particularly when infection is associated with the development of cancers in immunosuppressed individuals. My research output includes over 70 peer reviewed articles and 100 presentations at local and international meetings. I currently have a number of ongoing projects, particularly focussed on the prevention and early diagnosis ofanal cancer. I serve on a number of University and professional committees, as well as being a Joint Editor of "Sexual Health", a leading, peer-reviewed journal in the field. I have also conducted professional examinations and organized conferences.[Hide detail]
