Biographical details
Paediatrician - trained in South Africa. Working as an Infectious Diseases (ID) consultant at the Children's Hospital Westmead. Has a keen interest in global child health and maintenance of ecological resilience, which is essential for optimal and sustainable health outcomes.
Research interests
Research interests include: tuberculosis (epidemiology, strain diversity/evolution, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, drug resistance, TB/HIV, operations research); paediatric infectious diseases in general, particularly imported disease; cross-disciplinary research involving an ecological understanding of emerging infections and global biosecurity
