Research interests
Professor Chris Rissel has over 200 peer-reviewed published articles plus dozens of research reports and book chapters. His current research interests focus on obesity prevention and active transport with a particular emphasis on cycling advocacy. He also has research interests in tobacco control and sexual health. He is a co-author of the national report 'Getting Australia Moving - barriers, facilitators and interventions to get more Australians physically active through cycling'. Chris was one of the Chief Investigators of the Australian Study of Health and Relationships (AHSR) the first national sexual health survey in Australia. The second ASHR project has been funded by the NHMRC.
