Biographical details

David Bishop is a clinical and laboratory Haematologist, with expertise in haematological malignancies and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. He attained degrees in Medical Science (molecular biology) and Medicine from The University of Sydney, and completed his training in Haematology at Westmead Hospital in Sydney. His research interests are in the field of cell and gene therapy, particularly in the development and patient administration of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells for the treatment of haematological malignancy. He is also involved in studies of donor-derived and third party antigen specific T cells to rapidly reconstitute immunity in the post-stem cell transplant setting.
