Biographical details

Gemma is a Scholarly Teaching Fellow at the Sydney School of Public Health at the University of Sydney. She has a background in epidemiological research spanning public health and clinical epidemiology with a focus on breast cancer screening. Her interest is in better understanding the benefits and harms associated with early detection. She supports informed choice about screening and is affiliated with Wiser Healthcare, a research collaboration for reducing overdiagnosis and overtreatment in medicine.
