Biographical details

Assoc Prof Hilda Pickettis Head of the Telomere Length Regulation Unit at Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI), and Conjoint Associate Professor at University of Sydney. Assoc Prof Pickett obtained her PhD from the University of Leicester, UK, and held postdoctoral positions with Cancer Research UK at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds, UK, and in the Cancer Research Unit at CMRI, Australia.
In 2012, Assoc Prof Pickett established the Telomere Length Regulation Group, which focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms that underly telomere length control, genomic stability and cellular immortality.
