Research interests
Dr Ian Blair is a senior research scientist at the ANZAC Research Institute where he heads a group investigating the molecular basis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, ALS (otherwise known as motor neuron disease, MND). Dr Blair’s research career has focussed on determining the molecular genetic basis of a variety of neurological disorders including ALS, bipolar disorder, hereditary sensory neuropathy (HSN), Charcot Marie Tooth disorder (CMT), the spinal cerebellar ataxias (SCA), and Joubert syndrome.
