Research interests
James Bennett-Levy is an experienced trainer of cognitive behavioural therapists and a leading researcher is the area. He leads a cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) training program for mental health professionals based in northern NSW, and is currently researching the applicability and utility of introducing low intensity CBT interventions (e.g. guided self-help) in the Australian context. Between 2002-2008, he was consultant clinical psychologist at Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre, UK. He has co-edited the leading books in this field including Oxford Guide to Behavioural Experiments in Cognitive Therapy, the Oxford Guide to Low Intensity CBT Interventions and the Oxford Guide to Imagery in Cognitive Therapy.
