Biographical details

Jocelyn is a post-doctoral researcher with a research interest in the rehabilitation and management of musculoskeletal, neurological or age-related conditions. She obtained her PhD in 2013 from Neuroscience Research Australia and UNSW. Jocelyn has experience in a diverse range of topics including Osteoarthritis, spinal cord injury, stroke, and other musculoskeletal conditions. She has coordinated integrated research programs that aim to address key questions in spinal cord injury and osteoarthritis, and trialling innovative interventions for clinicians, patients, carers and families. Her current research focus is the implementation of cost-effective, non-surgical, minimal-drug management programs for osteoarthritis, including the development and evaluation of educational strategies for these programs. Jocelyn is currently the operational lead for a large multi-disciplinary NHMRC funded clinical trial. This study is investigating a new model of primary care based service delivery to support GPs and people with pain arising from knee osteoarthritis to obtain better long-term management and reduce the need for joint replacement surgery (PARTNER study).

Current projects
