Research interests
Dr Lampe's principal research interests are in anxiety and mood disorders, and the clinical applications of cognitive behaviour therapy. She is currently undertaking research into social anxiety disorder and the relationship with avoidant personality disorder. Additional research interests include medical education in psychiatry, attitudes to psychiatry as a career choice and the influence of personality on career choice and medical practice.
Teaching areas
I am the Block Coordinator for teaching in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine in Stage 3 of the Sydney Medical Program. In addition I run Skills Sessions in psychiatry at Northern Clinical School and developed teaching resources for the Cognitive Behaviour Therapy session and the 'Choosing and Using Medication' skills session. I have also contributed to teaching in Stages 1 and 2 of the course in areas related to psychiatry.
