Biographical details
Louise Hardy is Senior Research Fellow at the Physical Activity, Nutrition and Obesity Research Group (PANORG) based at the University of Sydney. Her research interests focus on the population measurement of physical activity and sedentary behaviours among young people and the development of population based intervention strategies aimed at changing behaviours associated with the development of obesity. Much of her work is done in the school setting. Louise has been an Investigator in the NSW 2004 and 2010 Schools Physical Activity and Nutrition Survey (SPANS). She serves on a number of Steering Committees addressing overweight and obesity including the Australian Child & Adolescent Obesity Research Networks (ACAORN) Physical Activity and Sedentary Behaviour Stream, which aims to build collaborative research in paediatric obesity nationally.
