Research interests
Dr Magnolia Cardona-Morrell has a background in Medicine from Latin America with Australian postgraduate qualifications in Public Health, Applied Epidemiology and Health Economics. For the past seven years she has been affiliated with the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney's Medical School, undertaking policy relevant and translational research of regional, statewide, national and international reach. Her main interests are non-communicable disease prevention (diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and injury), healthy ageing, health program evaluation, ethnic and indigenous health, international health, and evidence-based health policy. She also teaches postgraduate students of Public Health & International Public Health.
