Ms Mikaela Jorgensen

Biographical details

Mikaela is a Research Fellow with the Cancer Epidemiology and Services Research (CESR) group within the Sydney School of Public Health. She completed her PhD at the University of Sydney while working as a research officer at CESR. Mikaela's PhD examined barriers to the evidence-based care of older people with colorectal cancer in NSW.

Mikaela completed an honours degree in speech pathology in 2007 and has worked as a project officer managing methodological ratings of research intervention trials on a speech pathology database. She also has experience in community aged care.

Research interests

Mikaela's current research interests include using linked population-based administrative and clinical datasets for cancer health services research, investigating disparities in patient care and outcomes, and developing and testing interventions to facilitate the translation of evidence into practice.
