Biographical details

Nick Strouthidis is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon based at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He has a special interest in glaucoma, managing all aspects (medical, laser and surgical) of adult glaucoma particularly complex and secondary glaucomas, as well as cataract surgery, especially in glaucoma patients.

In addition to his clinical work, Nick has an active interest in research and training. He is a funded clinician-scientist at the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, where he is the lead for glaucoma clinical trials. He is the Glaucoma Service Training Director at Moorfields, overseeing the Glaucoma Fellowship Programme. He is a Clinical Associate Professor at Sydney University Medical School and an adjunct clinician scientist at the Singapore Eye Research Institute. He is also on the editorial boards of the British Journal of Ophthalmology, Current Eye Research and BMC Ophthalmology.
