Biographical details

Sarah White is a Post-doctoral Fellow at Sydney Medical School, The University of Sydney, with an adjunct appointment at the University of Michigan (Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology). Dr White received her Ph.D. in Medicine (Epidemiology) in 2009 from the University of Sydney for research into the burden and determinants of chronic kidney disease in the Australian population, strategies for early detection and intervention, and pathways to improved access to dialysis and transplantation for those with end-stage kidney failure. From 2011 to 2013, Dr White was based at the University of Michigan Kidney Epidemiology and Cost Center (United States), an interdisciplinary research group dedicated to improving clinical practice and patient outcomes in chronic and end-stage kidney disease and informing public policy in this area. Dr. White has coauthored multiple local and international policy reports concerning the provision of dialysis and transplant services in developed and developing settings, including reports commissioned by the World Health Organization and the United States Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Her current research focuses on international trends in health services delivery with relation to organ donation and transplantation
