Research interests
My research is focused on improving health communication and informed decision-making among socially disadvantaged, low literacy populations. My research interests include health/risk communication, patient-provider communication, decision-making and psychology, in the clinical areas of cancer screening and oncology; and incorporates both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. I am currently part of the Screening and Test Evaluation Program (Sydney School of Public Health), an NHMRC program grant which is in its 3rd round of program grant funding.
