Research interests

My primary research focus is in the area of PPAR? agonists as they relate to the kidney and vasculature. My project will define differences between pioglitazone and rosiglitazone which are relevant to effect on microvascular and macrovascular complications of diabetes, including nephropathy and endothelial dysfunction. By defining potential mechanisms underpinning these differences further refinement of drug targets will be possible.
