Research interests

Bill Bellew's work focusses on prevention of NCDs through public policy and strategic interventions. His passion is research into the promotion of increased physical actvity and reduced sedentary behaviour as well as obesity prevention. He has recently worked with the Bloomberg Grants Program on tobacco control, notably in India and in the Philippines. He has undertaken evidence reviews for State Health Departments in Australia and has contributed to an evidence review for WHO (Euro) on behaviour change strategies. He is interested in systems and interventions to increase the uptake of evidence by policymakers.
