2016 icare TMF Awards for Excellence in Risk Management

A consortium involving the Pain Management Research Institute at The University of Sydney (led by Professor Michael Nicholas), NSW Health, EML and icare was joint winner of the Framework & Systems category of the 2016 icare TMF Awards for Excellence in Risk Management this week for "The Work Injury Screening and Early Intervention (WISE) Study". This is the second major award for the WISE study, cementing the Pain Management Research Institute's position as a global leader in innovative pain management.

Update on New Spinal Implant Trial for Pain Relief

Channel Nine News reported on the progress of the current clinical trial of the new spinal cord stimulation technology for lower back pain. The device was developed by Saluda in consultation with our own PMRI scientists and researchers. PMRI's Professor Michael Cousins and A/Prof Charles Brooker were interviewed for the report.
