The Poche Centre for Indigenous Health was established within the Faculty of Medicine in 2008. Its development is an important step for the University of Sydney, and marks the beginning of a strong health partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, to promote change and improve health and social justice outcomes.

The Poche Centre is seeking expressions of interest for its clinical services initiatives in NSW and the Northern Territory.

The 2011 Pollie Pedal finished on Sunday 10 April 2011 after 9 days on the road travelling from the Gold Coast to Manly.
