Aboriginal Health Research Symposium

The Poche Centre for Indigenous Health facilitated a symposium to showcase initiatives in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health from across the Sydney Medical School, Sydney Nursing School, the Faculties of Dentistry, Health Sciences and Pharmacy. It took place on Thursday 28 November 2013 and was a very successful day.
There was a Dean's prize of $2000 for the most promising research and it was awarded to the Alcohol Awareness Team, led by Professor Kate Conigrave, for their amazing efforts in the area of drug and alcohol treatment.
Prior to the day, there was a call for abstracts, which resulted in a varied and inspiring collection of works from the University and beyond. You can see that collection here.
