Welcome to the PRC

Non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention, including nutrition, physical activity, obesity prevention, epidemiology and health promotion, is important for Australian and global health. The Prevention Research Collaboration (PRC) is a specialised research group within the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney with expertise in these areas of NCD prevention research, as well as other aspects of primary prevention, health promotion and disease prevention, such as tobacco use.

Our interests are in population-wide research and in translational research. In particular, we engage in evaluating population-wide prevention programs and in the subsequent dissemination of those which are judged to have impact within given cost efficiency boundaries.

This website describes our research and other areas of our work around nutrition, physical activity, and obesity prevention.
