Welcome to the PRC website
The Prevention Research Collaboration (PRC) is a specialised research group within the Sydney School of Public Health at the University of Sydney. The PRC has expertise in public health nutrition, physical activity, obesity prevention, epidemiology and health promotion research, as well as other aspects of primary prevention. The PRC has specialised expertise in chronic disease (NCD) prevention, including physical activity, nutrition and obesity research from a public health perspective, but also works across other areas of health promotion and disease prevention. Our interests are in population-wide research, and in translational research. In particular, PRC is engaged in evaluating population-wide prevention programs and in the subsequent dissemination of those are judged to be impactful within given cost efficiency boundaries.
This website describes our research and other areas of our work around nutrition, physical activity and obesity prevention.
