SALSA PROJECT IN JORDAN 2014
The SALSA project has been rolled out and was evaluated in Jordan under the project "The efficacy of a school-based, peer-led educational program in improving nutritional intake and physical activity behaviors among adolescents in Northern Jordan". The project was funded by the Deanship of Scientific Research.

The SALSA Peer Leader's manual was translated into Arabic language, piloted in one girls' high school, then modified based on peer educators' and peer leaders' feedback.

A pilot RCT was conducted in four high schools (two from each gender; 2 in control group and 2 in intervention group). The SALSA survey was used after it was translated into Arabic as well as weight, height, Body fat%, BMI, physical activity questionnaire and Body image scale.
Baseline data was collected and post intervention data was collected one month after the intervention (except for weight and body fat%).
