Prof Michael Solomon MBBCh BAO MSc FRACS - Director and Head

Professor Michael Solomon is a colorectal surgeon at RPAH and CRGH in Sydney. He has extensive experience in clinical research, including involvement as a principal investigator in multiple current randomised controlled trials in surgery and has published extensively on the topic of evaluative research designs to assess surgical procedures. Michael has been a member of a number of National and State Advisory bodies involving cancer and surgery trials and co-chaired the NHMRC Advisory Committee on Guidelines for the Prevention, Early Detection and Management of Treatment of Colorectal Cancer. His research interests include surgical outcomes research, methodological aspects of randomised controlled trials and alternate evaluative study designs in surgery, patient-centred outcome measures and patient.
