Research at the Sydney School of Public Health
Research is central to the activities of the School of Public Health and to the achievement of the School’s mission. Our research endeavours to:
- advance and disseminate knowledge in public health and clinical epidemiology
- to inform policy and practice through the understanding of the social, cultural, political, economic and ethical context of health problems and solutions.
The School of Public Health achieved an Excellence in Research in Australia (ERA) ranking of 5 in 2015 – and is recognised as an outstanding research hub which is an institutional strength of the University of Sydney.
The Sydney School of Public Health is associated with several institutions and centres to advance research in areas of importance to public health in Australia and around the world.The School has about 150 research focused staff and more than 200 research students.
