Rural Clinical Year

Consider a rural clinical year

If you are a medical student who has ever wondered if rural medicine is for you, this is a chance to gain an insight into rural health while being a part of a great learning and teaching environment.

As a student, you will see a different range of clinical problems from those in metropolitan settings and have a greater opportunity to become involved in patient care. You will learn how plans of investigation and management can be diverse in the country, where resources differ from those in the city, and you will also be exposed to new practices that can aid in learning outcomes.

’The experience you get living in a rural town, fully supported by the School of Rural Health Staff who make the transition so easy, and are able to give so much academic and personal support. Michelle, 3rd Year Student .
